DAY FIVE: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2021

BY GARY WASSNER

KEVAN HALL

I’ve known Kevan for many years now. He’s always been about subtle prints that are soft on the eyes. His perfectly tailored clothing exudes a sense of ease and comfort… and great style. His dresses can take one from daytime to cocktail. Kevan dresses a confident woman who doesn’t need to be plastered with logos or identifying marks. She knows who she is. The glimmering columns for evening were, each and every one, knockouts. Class through and through. His taste level is high.

According to Kevan while we talked backstage after the show, he approached the collection with a painterly hand utilizing watercolor fabrications. His clothing is not about age. No one is either too young or too old to wear it. Rather, it’s for a worldly woman who travels but isn’t fussy or prissy. She’s NOT a fashion victim. She knows who she is and can wear Kevan Hall as a second skin. I’m convinced that he’s a designer who, when first discovered by a lady, will immediately become her go to designer. And note that I said, ‘a lady’.

KEVAN HAS AN IDENTIFIABLE STYLE AND A CONSISTENT POINT OF VIEW. His clothing Is timeless, not trendy. With a little more deserved press and exposure, we will be seeing a lot more of him.
