1.      In these last days prior to Fashion Week, what’s your state of mind and what are you thinking about?

There’s definitely more pressure this season as it’s our first runway show. We are working long hours and late nights — fittings, castings and editing looks. We will probably be working until the final hours — two days and counting!

2.      How important is social media to your business: are you everywhere – bricks-and-mortar, e-commerce, TV, Twitter and Facebook, 24/7, and are you live streaming your show?

Social media is incredibly important to us — Facebook, Twitter, Four Square and Tumblr. We have honest conversations with our customers and listen to their feedback, good or bad. We will be live streaming our show and playing it throughout the day on ToryBurch.com.

3.      What do you think consumers will be looking for come spring?

I think many women are looking for timeless pieces that are unique as well — great knits, lightweight dresses, suits, and of course, chic accessories.

4.      Studies show that brands must create an emotional connection with consumers through a compelling story. Do you think you accomplish that with your brand and, if so, how?

It is very important for us to be authentic in every aspect of our company. We’re telling a story about who we are with everything we do, whether it’s through social media, the Tory Blog or the look and feel of our boutiques.
